Welcome to u3a – Learn, Laugh, Live!

u3a is a nationwide—and international—movement for people who are no longer in full-time work, but still have a zest for learning, discovering, and connecting with others.

The name might sound academic, but there are no exams, no qualifications, and no pressure—just a welcoming community of people who enjoy discovering new things and connecting with others. Whether your interests lie in history or hiking, languages or line dancing, painting or playing cards, you’ll find something to suit you.

Our motto, “Learn, Laugh, Live,” captures the spirit of what we do. Through a wide variety of interest groups, talks, outings, and social events, members stay active in every sense—mentally, physically, and socially—as they enjoy this exciting and fulfilling stage of life known as the Third Age.

Our membership costs per year (1st April to 31st March) are:

Single membership - £18:00

Joint membership (2 people living at the same address) - £32:00

Associate membership (already a member of another u3a) - £10:00
